What is the first thing you do when you wake up in the morning?
First thing in the morning I am greeted by my enthusiastic husband encouraging me to wake up so we can hang out before work. Right after discussing our plans for the day, I walk straight to the kitchen and make myself coffee to drink while I’m getting ready for the day.
What is your go-to workout?
My motto is try all workouts at least once. This has lead me to try many different workouts that I truly love, such as, yoga, barre, spin, kettlebells, TRX, pilates, and of course a good walk. Over the years of doing different workouts daily, I have learned to listen to my body to tell me what type of workout I need for a mental stress release or restore. Right now my weekly work outs have been yoga, spin and a good walk with my husband.
What is your healthy living philosophy?
My philosophy for healthy living is all things in moderation. In the last year I gained a different understanding about self care. The short list includes a daily dose of coffee, cookies and connection between my mind and body.
What’s in your gym bag?
My gym bag always has a pair of my lululemon pants; fast and free tights for sweat or align pants for yoga. I always have my lunch, a water bottle, APL’s, hair tie, dry shampoo, lip gloss, sunglasses, vitamin C, socks, deodorant a scarf and a jacket since I am always cold.
Who or what inspires you?
My grandma inspires me. The legacy she left in her community created change and the love she showed to her family was unconditional. I desire to make just as big of an impact in my community and show my family just as much love.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned from lululemon?
lululemon has changed my life for the better through vision and goals. This tool has given me the freedom to visualize what I really want without expectations of others or fear that I might fail. The practice of writing my vision and goals will forever be a part of my life and the north star in the decisions I make.
What’s the last thing you do before you go to bed?
The last thing I do before I go to sleep is recap the day in my mind to reflect on the wins and opportunities from my day.
